πΏ Greetings from The Lake District
We often visited this moody and mystical part of England for family holidays in the β90s, hence the above picture of Steve (my Dad) and me with my brother on a hike somewhere around Buttermere.
Itβs the land of Beatrix Potter, Kendal Mint Cake and the original Jennings breweryβestablished by a great-grandfather of ours in 1874βand where my husband and I are spending this weekend for a long overdue visit and some serious nature time.
The lakes, the fells, the skyβ¦ Iβve been dreaming of it and feel so energised to be back.
So Team Yeu is OOO at the moment and having some important rest and FUN after spending the first half of this year getting Yeu as a brand out into the world. Weβre so grateful to everyone whoβs joined the Yeu Zone so far and appreciate everyone supporting and advising us. Thank you for being here π
While Iβm off hiking and visiting family, make sure to;

π Is there really a βbestβ time to work out?
Longer read
You know all those YouTube morning routine videos that make us think we need to work out in the morning? Well, a recent study of nearly 30,000 participants reveals some solid findings: Regular moderate-to-vigorous exercise reduces the risk of premature death and cardiovascular disease-related mortality, no matter when you fit it in.
Interestingly, those who opt for evening aerobic activities, like a brisk post-dinner walk, significantly lower their riskβby 61% for premature death and 37% for cardiovascular mortality.
π± Why focus on living longer when we can live better?
3-minute read
"Health span has become a big buzz term in the wellness community... identifying the years during which we are living in optimal health rather than just our chronological age." We love this piece about questioning the emphasis on increasing lifespan rather than improving the quality of life as we grow older. If you didnβt realise by now, weβre team healthspan here at Yeu!
π Gratitude may bring longer life
Really quick read
A groundbreaking study from Harvard reveals that gratitude can enhance longevity. Older women who embraced gratitude had a 9% lower risk of premature death, especially from heart disease.
Simply focusing on what we're thankful for can profoundly impact our health. Incorporate gratitude practices, like jotting down or discussing what you appreciate, to promote growing older in good health.
