We had an absolute blast at Taste the Lakes 2026

What a way to spend a weekend. We headed up to Greystoke Castle for the very first Taste the Lakes, a half marathon that swapped grim-faced PBs for aerobics, shell suits, sunshine, and a proper Cumbrian feast along the route. Combining running with local food and drink sounded like a slightly mad idea on paper. In practice, it was brilliant.

Runners and walkers made their way through 13.1 miles of fells, forest, and at least one celebratory scream after finding a Cranston's sausage roll waiting mid-route. Fair enough, really.

We were proud to be part of the tasting tour at the finish line to help everyone refuel after a long day on the fells. Our protein + Jenerise Cr.01β„’ boost pouches went down an absolute treat, exactly the kind of quick, no-fuss recovery fuel you want in hand the moment you cross the line. Seeing them disappear as fast as they did was a brilliant reminder of why we love being part of events like this.

On top of all the fun, the event raised around Β£4,000 for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy via Mac My Day, a brilliant result.

Huge thanks to the organisers, every producer and brewery on the route, and everyone who ran, walked, cheered, and embraced the ridiculousness of it all. Taste the Lakes is officially back next year, and we'll be there again.

See you at Greystoke Castle for round two.

We all rise together,

Team Jenerise
